Tibhar Grass D.TecS is a Best Selling long pips rubber!
NOW AVAILABLE IN GREEN!

With the integrated D.TecS effect in Tibhar's classical long pimples rubber, the player will experience new variations to cut the ball and to counter the opponent’s destabilizing strokes. Thanks to the integrated tension in the pimples and the sponge, the pimples get softer, which enables the player to cut the ball in a sensational way. However, because of the softness of the rubber, the D.TecS effect provides amazing control plus enough speed to destabilize the opponent with nervous aggressive shots during disturbing attacks at the table.

Note: The no sponge (0X) version of Tibhar Grass DTecS does not come with a sticky backing on this rubber.

There are Tibhar Glue Sheets available for purchase separately, which are recommended for applying all no-sponge rubbers, including Tibhar Grass DTecS OX rubber. If Paddle Palace is gluing your no-sponge rubber, it is likely that we are using this product.
My first Long Pips
2/27/2015

After reading the reviews here I picked Tibhar Grass D.TecS in OX, and Stiga Defensive NCT as a stiff, light, and slow blade. With Calibra Tour S on the forehand. 130G. With the intention of blocking/pushing as much as possible. At least against experienced basement/office players, I can return serve with my Grass much better that my previous BH rubber (Xiom Vega Europe on an Allround blade). My opponents also hit the net or shoot long many times. Thus for all my opinion is worth, Grass has good deception and very good control in OX. Direct hits are also very good, easier than with Vega and only a little bit slower.

As close as you can get to non-frictioned rubbers
9/27/2013

I used to play with non-friction rubbers and when they were banned I went back to smooth on both side. until I found out about this rubber and I have loved playing with it after a few sessions. It is very low trajectory rubber and has excellent control for blocks. You would have to feel the wood to make a sound stroke and the angle of your blade is very important in making your shot land on the table or not. If you make the right stroke, your ball would be landing faster than other long pips and it reversal of spin is very good. I recommend this rubber over other long pips but the speed of the blade is important too and you would need slower than offensive blade.

The creme of the creme of LONG PIPS!
12/3/2011

First, this rubber produces amazing reversals while keeping the ball trajectory low over the net. Second, it is very durable. Since the pips are soft but the base sheet is somewhat thick, the pips dont break off easily. The one disadvantage is the speed. It is fairly fast but can be tamed with a slow blade. OX - no sponge - is the best option for control and spin reversal. If you try it, you will be hooked. Yes, it seems expensive relative to other long pips, but honestly the cost is justified, as it is the creme of the creme when it comes to long pips.

Use in OX.

This is the best rubber ever! If this rubber becomes illegal, then I will quit playing table tennis :

best pushblocking weapon
4/28/2011

this rubber is the best weapon for modern push blocking. its success is signified by the attempts from other companies to make a clone of the rubber, much like tenergy 05. service return, block and lift, push and counter is all very deceptive. spin on service is nil. a high amount of spin reversal is attained an all shots. the rubber is a bit fast though, and if your not overly careful the ball will go long, but thats the only problem my problem with this rubber. black produces more dead balls but is slighly more tricky and wobbly, red has less friction and has more spin reversal but has less wobble. red is slightly faster than black. comes with a glue sheet on the back, which signifies that there is a TENSOR-like tension integrated in the rubber. this rubber is what the worlds top push blockers refer to when reviewing something else. anti, medium pimples and even other long pimples cant compare. some very similar rubbers are the DONIC piranja formula tec, JOOLA badman reloaded and the Giant Dragon Talon. all have pretty much the same effect and spin reversal, along with the integrated tension. this rubber is also very very durable. it lasted me for a while. the price is worth it, if you consider the 45 USD to be too high. its not super block, but a very innovative rubber. against dead balls and lobs, if you find the right stroke these shots will be a breeze to control. for more control, go to CTT national pogo, HALLMARK phoenix or Palio CK531A. if you want an antispin rubber that is also very good for push blocking, go to JOOLA AMY control the classic version gives a dead ball, DR.Neubauer Anti Special or DR.Neubauer A-B-S.

Great Blocking Pips
12/21/2010

If you are a close to the table blocker, this rubber is perfect combined with a balsa blade like Dr Neubauer Titan or Dr Neubauer Firewall. It has great spin reversal and has good control in the OX version.

Devastating!!
4/13/2010

This long pip is very dangerous! It has serious wobble that could give anyone trouble. This rubber will allow you push to low and hard forcing your opponent into poor strokes at which you can come in and win the point! Its very easy to disguise your spin with this pip. I discovered all of this after just 3 hours of play!!!! Oh btw... Its a great hitting long pip!!! Chopping is awsome with great control... Awsome!!
